How did you attract/address your audience?
As a group we thought of a unique narrative where it includes the conventional protagonist which the audience can relate to. Click here to view the treatment
To grab our audiences' attention, we used the idea of a dark hidden secret inside a room contrasting with him moving on in life which is emphasised by using the broad daylight for symbolism and also onto the train. The idea of moving away from his assassination job and blending in with everyone else.
Very similar to The Transporter who does not work for anyone but want his freedom to himself.
To attract our audience at the start of our opening sequence, we produced a music score which makes it seem unwelcome and the heavy feeling that makes the audience want to find out what is going on and produce questions in their minds. Not only just the soundtrack but also a series of close-ups which was useful to also question the audience plus the darkness in the room, creating a dark, scary ambiguous mood.
The grey and black clothing which emphasises the idea of problems in life, the protagonist from the start have just finished a job which the audience can try and figure out what has happened.
The close-ups we also used fast-paced editing to make it seem the work has been done quickly in a blink of an eye, this then makes the audience curious yet vulnerable to what had happened.
